The Aqua d’Aïa team

Stéphane: the passionate and experienced captain
The least we can say is that the sea is an integral part of Stéphane’s life. And this from an early age, as he comes from a family of sailors. Logically enough, he did his apprenticeship in the French Navy in Brest.
He arrived in the Beaulieu-sur-Mer region 25 years ago, and discovered the pleasures of sailing thanks to his first 21-foot sailboat.
His knowledge of yachting has not only provided him with superb personal experience, but also professional experience, as he has practiced a number of sailing professions, such as tugboat skipper, boatman and shipchandler manager.
Stéphane holds a Capitaine 200 voile certificate, making him a true boat captain. He convoys numerous boats and passengers to port in various seas and oceans, including the English Channel, the North Sea, the Atlantic and, of course, the Mediterranean.
Stéphane is a true sailing boat enthusiast. He sails, repairs and maintains his boats with the utmost care. Ask him any questions you may have during your cruise around Nice, and he’ll be delighted to answer them and share his passion with you.
Virginia: the sailor/cook attached to his region
Virginie, for her part, is a child of the region. She is Stéphane’s wife, and thanks to him, sailing has become a passion that she lives to the full every day. She also manages theRêve d’O association, which promotes the maritime culture and heritage of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Her Sailor of the Deck certificate makes her a true sailor, but it’s not the only string to her bow.
She manages Aqua d’Aïa’s reservations, accommodations and supplies on board, and she’s also the boat’s cook! She’ll prepare delicious meals for you during your cruise, using only the finest ingredients.
Her aim is to pamper you and make your cruise a pleasant one.
Ewen: Aqua d’Aïa’s technician sailor
Following in his father Stéphane’s footsteps, Ewen is also an avid sailor.
His diplomas – bac pro maintenance nautique and brevet de Matelot de Pont– and his professional experience as a port agent, sailor and salesman in a Schipchandler make him a true skipper you can count on.
Ewen is first and foremost the team’s technician: an enthusiast of fittings and other nautical equipment, he takes great care of the boats that make up the Aqua d’Aïa fleet. He is also responsible for boat maintenance and upkeep.
